Hello Friends,

Here we go again… Had some fun interesting stuff this last week. Enjoyed ourselves over at the Dog & Duck and hopefully will be back there. Last minute opening for “Southern Culture on the Skids” at the Pour House with the Beebos. Fun time there and there’s another Beebos show this week (see below)! Gotta say that lately the Sunday’s at DD Peckers have been great fun. Ted McKee leads things up and many others come and sit in. Lately it’s been a varied combination of folks sitting in including myself, Bob Tobin, David Owens & Bruce Roberts. It sounds more like a band every week. Most of the same folks have gone on the Costa Rica trip the past few years. I’m hoping to get this group to play something on the Mt. Pleasant side of town. If you see the Call Mama Band listed that’ll be us! We’re working on actual gigs since the playing is so much fun. The music is awesome with such a fine array of players and many are song writers so a lot of original music in the mix too. Watch for postings here.

This week…
Tonight (Monday 7/30) Song Writers at Home Team BBQ West Ashley. Music starts at 8 and there are many great song writers. I sit in with some and enjoy watching others.

Tuesday – Dunleavy’s Pub on Sullivan’s music at 7:30 – Bob Sachs & Friends this week includes Marci Shore (who is there every week and I’m loving her fiddle playing more and more). Also Roger Bellow will be there this week so anything could happen. Andy Norman has been coming out lately but is out of town for a bit. He’ll be back as he can. Always a pleasure to have him.

Wednesday – Playing alongside Clay Rice out at Freshfields Village near Kiawah (weather permitting). We do about an hour show before the movie on the lawn and Clay cuts silhouettes and has a lot of beautiful art he’s done there too. We play about 7:30 and so far the show has gone up to an hour.

Thursday –  The Beebos (that’s Walter Biffle, Gary Hewitt and Moi (aka Me!)) We’ll be out back on the deck from about 6-9pm. Beautiful place over on Maybank Highway.

Saturday – The Maniax – Music starts at 7pm – This will be yours truly with Carroll Brown leading up and Walter Biffle on Bass. We’ll be out at the Dunes West Golf Club but this IS open to the public. At the gate just tell them you’re going to the golf club. Gonna be extra fun since we haven’t played in a bit!! Come on out!

Good Lord willing and the creeks don’t rise I’ll be back over sitting in with Ted Sunday.
