Hello Friends,

Here we go again,

The heat hasn’t gotten the better of us yet!! I actually played 2 outdoor gigs Saturday. The second by Shem Creek where the breeze felt like A/C!! What a Godsend!! Hope you’re all hanging in there and keeping cool! There are many folks in several states without power or phone who we should keep in our thoughts! I have several family members in that area. Kinda reminds me what it was like here after Hugo! Even hotter there!

So here’s what’s up this week…

Tonight (Monday) Songwriter night at Home Team BBQ West Ashley – Lots of songwriters, most local but some visit from faraway places and stop in. Usually 2 or 3 songs per writer so lots of variety. I get to hang with friends and sit in with a few. Last week Carroll Brown (or as Susie calls him “The Godfather of Songwriter Night”) stopped in and we we’re still out on the front porch playing music when the place closed and the staff was leaving. WAY late night. Music starts about 8pm.

Tuesday – Dunleavy’s Pub on Sullivan’s Island – Marci & I for sure and Roger Bellow says he wants to come play some banjo so we’ll definitely be doing some Bluegrass. Probably some old country and western swing too. Music starts at 7:30

Wednesdays I’ve been playing with Clay Rice out at Freshfield near Kiawah BUT We’re taking this week of for the 4th. Looks like I might actually get to see my wife!! 😉

That’s it for now far as public gigs… Hoping to get over to see Ted again on Sunday (DD Peckers) ’cause we had some fun yesterday for sure!
