ALSO Today, I found out my buddy Ted McKee is NOT going to be at DD Peckers this week. BUT There is a songwriter showcase nearby that will include some good friends. Gonna head over that way and who knows, I may even join in a bit on Mando. The showcase is hosted by Pete Ledbetter at Blue Rose Cafe on Highway 61 (652 Saint Andrews Blvd, Charleston, SC 29407). Starts about 6:30ish. Tonight’s guests include Ted Baker, David Moulton. David Owens and Bob Tobin. All wonderful writers and friends.

Monday night 6/25 the Regular Songwriter’s night at Home Team BBQ (right up the street) West Ashley.

Tuesday night I’ll be at Dunleavy’s Pub on Sullivan’s as usual. This week I’ll be joined by Fiddlin’ Marci Shore AND Roger Bellow also mentioned that he’d likely come sit in at least some of the night. Gonna be fun! Please join us. Music starts at 7:30. Would like to thank all the folks who made nice comments last week. It was my first time playing mostly guitar and singing lead and I guess my homework did some good. Gotta keep at it though. Need a bunch more songs in my head!! 🙂 We did have fun and plan to keep that trend going! One cool thing we discovered though… We tried some fiddle tunes with just mandolin and fiddle and it seemed to work pretty well! 🙂

Wednesday, Feel like a drive??? Freshfield Village is at the end of Main Road near Kiawah Island. I’ll be there with my pal Clay Rice doing a set of music ahead of their outdoor movie. Clay will be cutting silhouettes before and after the set for framing or to go in his children’s book. If I recall correctly the set is 7:30-8:30pm followed directly by a movie. The music will be very Low Country feeling with Clay’s stories in the mix too.

Saturday I’ll be with my pal Pete Ledbetter off Main Rd near Gilligan’s (just off 17 South) – The Old Time Farmer’s Market. We’ll be entertaining from about 12-4. Also doing a private gig in the evening so gonna be a busy day!

NEXT Sunday 7/1 Ted Mckee will be back at DD Peckers and, unless I get a last minute booking, I’ll be hanging there too. We ALWAYS have a great time playing and lots of other musicians stop in so you never know what might happen BUT it’s always great stuff. Music starts about 6:30

That’s it for now. I’ll be working on new tunes a bunch trying to build my repertoire so I can cover more requests and keep things fresh.
